About Us

In May of 2003, we were presented with the opportunity to save two horses from being taken to auction which, given the physical and medical condition of these horses, they certainly would have been sold for slaughter. These horses (Dusty and Colonel) had been abandoned at a boarding facility for a period of five years. Philip and I purchased Dusty and Colonel from the facility, and continued to board them at the same location for the regular monthly fee. We provided all medical/farrier care necessary for the well being of these horses. In June of 2004, we started looking for our own property to house Dusty and Colonel. We purchased just over 86 acres of beautiful farm land including hills, pastures, crop fields, ponds, Alum Creek and woods. We named it "The Circle P Ranch, LLC". In August of 2006, we created the non profit Circle P Sanctuary, Inc. The Sanctuary leases all land and facilities from the Circle P Ranch for the sum of $10.00 a year. The Ranch will continue to be responsible for all capital improvements made for the benefit of the Sanctuary. For more information about the Circle P Sanctuary, please visit www.circlepsanctuary.org.

We are now offering customizable boarding for your canine friends at the Lazy Dog Lodge located at The Circle P Ranch, LLC! We are not your typical boarding kennel. We do not have your typical concrete kennel runs. We strive to have more of an in-home pet sitting environment. Our goal is to make each dog feel as though they are home. With individualized care, plenty of TLC and a home away from home vibe, your dog will feel as though they are on vacation. Your dog's safety and comfort are our number one priorities, so you can leave your dog with us without the guilt and worry associated with boarding. LDL Boarding requirements

Vaccination Protocol:To help ensure the health and well-being of all dogs at The Lazy Dog Ranch, we require certain vaccinations be kept up-to-date. Your dog must be current on Rabies, Distemper, Parvo & Bordetella. We suggest that your dog receive a Bordetella (Kennel Cough) every six months for maximum protection, but this is not a requirement. Proof of vaccination must be provided from your veterinarian.Flea/Tick Protocol:Upon check-in, your dog will be checked for any signs of fleas and ticks. If signs of Fleas/Ticks are found, we will treat with Capstar and a veterinarian approved topical treatment, at the owner's expense.We highly suggest that you treat your dog with a safe, veterinarian approved topical flea/tick treatment during the warmer seasons. At minimum, apply a topical prior to your dog's stay with us.

The Standard Dog Boarding: $30.00With our Standard Boarding Package, your dog will receive three one-on-one, 20 minute potty/play sessions daily. *Ideal for dogs that prefer not to socialize with other dogs.*The Deluxe Dog Boarding: $45.00With our Deluxe Boarding Package, your dog will receive four group or one on one, 20 minute potty/play sessions daily. *Ideal for the social, dog-friendly dogs that enjoy playtime with other dogs.*The Ultimate Dog Boarding: $55.00With our Ultimate Boarding Package, the sky's the limit. This package is ideal for active, social dogs. This package provides hours of playtime daily, and frequent potty breaks. Includes trips to our swimming pond. The Circle P Ranch, LLC is the home of the Circle P Sanctuary, Inc. The Circle P Sanctuary, Inc. leases all 95 acres and facilities from the Ranch for the amount of $10.00 per year. The Circle P Ranch, LLC was established first in June, 2004 to enable us to house two abandoned Quarter horses we adopted. We purchased the property at 2013 County Road 24, and the potential to help many more animals became more than just a dream, it’s finally becoming a reality. We had to remove the old barn and barbed wire fencing, and constructed a beautiful new barn with several 12x12 stalls, a two room “Suite”, a run-in shelter directly attached, a stall with a paddock directly attached, a separate feed storage room, a tack room, a 60ft by 120ft indoor riding arena and a 100ft outdoor round pen. In addition to the main barn, there is an indoor arena that provides shelter for larger herds when necessary. We have an additional small barn that has spacious stalls for large breed horses with adjoining paddocks and pasture. There are three additional barns/run-in shelters located in the North, West and South Pastures as well. Contact us for pricing information.Services:*Welcome Center complete with reference library, full service kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 1 shower.*Personal care and attention on a daily basis.*Specialized feed and supplement requirements provided twice daily based on each individual horse’'s needs. Quality Hay provided as needed.*Several pastures available, to provide free roaming in its’ most natural state.*Complete turnout with shelter available at all times (Horse decides when he/she wants to be in or out!). *Both natural creek and pond available as well as fresh bucket water provided at all times.*Several “Pasture Pals” available. (Once a new resident has had time to adjust to its’ new surroundings and we have a better understanding of his/her personality, they will be introduced to their new herd mates.) *Roomy stalls available when necessary due to injury or illness. (Several sizes and paddocks available)*Veterinary Services as needed including but not limited to: 2 wellness checks per year, bi-annual vaccinations. (at owners expense)*Regular De-Worming program. (Minimum 6 treatments/year and cost is included in boarding fee)*Regular Farrier visits scheduled every 4-6 weeks (at ownres expense) or you may schedule your own farrier to visit as well. *Dental services available 3 times a year. (at owners expense)*We aggressively attempt to control flies and other parasites for the comfort of the horses by providing feed through supplements, fly predators, fly spray and fly masks as needed. We also clean stalls as well as remove manure from paddock areas daily. Fans are used during hot weather.*Most horses prefer to be outside in all weather. If necessary, we can blanket in the winter so they can still enjoy the great outdoors. (owner must provide the blanket) *Basically, every animal at the Circle P Ranch, LLC is cared for like it is our own personal pet. We are mindful of safety first, health and happiness is a close second.

Riding Lessons

Just in time for Christmas!!!The Circle P Ranch is opening up our barn for riding lessons*. Each session last approximately 40 minutes. You can purchase these lessons individually for $35 or $100 for a set of four. Click HERE to place your order! *Lessons may be purchased at any time. When booking your dogs stay at the Lazy Dog Lodge, each package has the option to "Add-On" custom features. If you are choosing to enhance your dogs stay with us please select the featured item to be included on one days board and add that day to the shopping cart separetly. Different packages can be purchased for different days and can be added to the cart separetly as well. In the shopping cart, each quantity represents 1 day of board. In addition, the custom features can be purchased a la cart and applied however you or the Lazy Dog Lodge sees fit.

We have an indoor arena and party house that makes this event possible in cooler weather and rain or shine!This $500 package includes:-Set up and clean up for your 4 hour event-A private tour of our facilities including visiting with the goats, pigs, llamas and larger horses-2 hours of riding and grooming with 2 ponies or 1 pony and 1 horse capable of accomodating adult riders (who says the kids get to have all the fun!)-A grooming kit full of brushes, combs and ribbons for the children to use while interacting with the ponies-A pony themed gift box for the special birthday kid-Face painting (amateur)-Pinata-Games-A fully decorated party house-Light, kid friendly , refreshments and beverages-A Pony themed cake complete with plates and napkins-Hay rides (weather permitting)This event is not mobile and is only available at our facility.
